, Complete starter Hives and Open Mated Queens. We continuously select for the best Genetics and traits that are needed to be the most productive in our area of the country, Traits like Honey production, Low Swarming, Gentleness, Hygenic response, Low Varroa Mite levels.
Our Story
Hello my Name is Triston Osborne CEO of Poplar Ridge HoneyBees LLC, I started keeping Honey Bees in 2011 at the age of 14, it all started with one hive in the spring of 2011, I was quickly fascinated by the biology and the social behavior of these bees, by the end of summer i had 3 more. I continued learning for a few years through trial and error until i became sustainable, learning to graft and raise quality Queens and maintain healthy hives year round was a learning curve but i figured it out. I continued to increase my hive numbers each year. In 2021 I Created Poplar Ridge HoneyBees. Today we manage over 250 Colonies in Montgomery County and Cheatham County to produce the Purest Local, Raw, Wild Flower Honey. As well as the Quality Queens that we use in our Colonies and yours that you purchase from us.
